The 3rd Event Network Construction Project.
Thank you for JPNIC (Japan Network Information Center) cooperation for our Network Construction plan. We were given the opportunity for event network construction for students, in Tokyo Internet Week 2013.
Internet Week 2013 Outline
・Term：November 26 2013(Tue) 〜 November 29 2013(Fri) (4days)・Venue：FUJISOFT AKIBA PLAZA (5F,6F)
・Purpose：
Provide technology trends of internet for students.
Provide an opportunity for discussion and exchange for students.We would like to realize above and to promote internet growth.
Experience report of students
Three students of the member school of ICTEPC participated in “Internet Week 2013″ and they constructed venue network, and supported user.
Below is the experience report of students.
Takahiro Kanai / Nihon Kogakuin College
We experienced constructed “the network, which have you used” and we operated it, we can’t experience at school.
And we could constructed network to use the precious equipment which we can’t touch, we were getting good experience.

It was learned something very much for me about the mind and skill to participate the IW2013 with various viewpoints people.

Because I participated to the IW2013 as network supporter, I would like to know and experience a job of an engineer.
My first jobs are setting of L2 Switch, import setting and Monitoring operation.
At first day, almost I didn’t understand the construction of a network chart because I saw the first time that network, but, I was getting to understand configuration while setting machine. When I finished setting, I understand it well.
It was particularly impressive physical work, like import and setting.
At the school, we finished setting machines and connected cables, but on the site, they were using the whole network of building and connected each room and switches, so I was made to be conscious it.
And also, I experienced handling of the optical cable, mounted switch, and connected patch panel. it was can’t work usual, I thought touched a part of Engineer job.
While the IW2013, we measured network traffic, access of wireless AP, and number of DHCP IP address. And we reported regularly.
The internet was unconnected, and wireless AP access was instability but, we settled these problem, thanks to other member.
When we have a time, we have taken a seminar and I was re-recognition the job of internet engineer is rewarding.
Thanks for teaching me many things, and I considered still need to study more compared with other students.
I would like to study more to succeed with my job engineer till get a job.
